Christine M Pencak, Ph.D. SPHR is Director of Management and Organization Development at BorgWarner, Inc. She joined the organization in January 2005 with 13 years experience in organizational research and consulting, university teaching, and human resource management positions. Throughout her career, she has worked with all levels of management in developing and implementing strategies to increase individual and organizational performance. She has direct work experience in the areas of organizational assessment and change, team-based work design, competency modeling, performance management, leadership and talent development, and learning systems.
In her present position, she has global responsibility for performance management systems, succession management, talent development, and organization change and design. Her current strategic focus is on acquisition, retention and development of talent in high growth economies.
Christine is a native of the Detroit, Michigan area and received her Ph.D. and M.A. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Wayne State University. She also holds memberships in The Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychologists and the Society for Human Resource Management. For the past three years, she has also served as a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Continuing Professional Development Group. Christine is an active member of the Human Resource Management Advisory Board at Oakland University in Rochester Hills, Michigan, and enjoys part-time teaching when her schedule allows.

Dr. Brian Kropp

Dr. Kropp is the Practice Manager in the HR Practice of the Corporate Executive Board. The Corporate Leadership Council (CLC) is a membership-based organization that provides best practices, quantitative research and executive education to the largest global network of HR executives. Dr Kropp's current quantitative and strategic research is focused on aligning the various HR performance processes with drivers of human capital outcomes.
Prior to joining the Corporate Executive Board in 2002, Dr. Kropp worked for a variety of research institutions, and has taught courses in economics, policy analysis, and quantitative methods at the University of North Carolina. He has been published in several books, academic journals, and other periodicals. Dr. Kropp holds a Ph.D. in Policy Analysis from the University of North Carolina and a M.A., and B.S. in Economics from Clemson University.
